How can I lose baby weight?

You’ve been through a lot producing your little bundle of joy and now you’re ready to start thinking about getting back into shape.

You’ve probably thought how can I lose my baby weight?

But you will probably find that you have little or no time to do any exercise.

Do not fear I’ve developed some amazing short workouts that will fit into your busy schedule and help to shift your pregnancy weight.

Try these workouts when you’ve got 10 minutes to spare at home, they will give you ways to lose baby weight fast. Please do not start exercising until you have checked it is OK to do so with your doctor.

 

20 Rep blaster

(Complete 20 reps of the following exercises and continue for 10 minutes. As you get fitter make the rest periods between circuits shorter.)

Press ups on knees

Squats

Dips

Lunges

Crunches

3 minute abs

(Complete this workout by doing the following exercises for 3 minutes, rest for a minute then repeat as many times as you can manage)

10 Burpees

10 Ab wheel roll outs

10 Squats

Plank 30 second hold

10 Reverse Crunches

10 Reverse Lunges

 

Hip and thigh reducer

(Repeat for 10 minutes)

Squat Jumps – 15 Reps

Hip Bridge 1 leg hold – 15 seconds each leg

Side Plank – 15 seconds each side

Plank – 30 seconds

Lunge Jumps – 15 reps each leg

Resistance band side walks – 10 steps each leg

Go for a Run (Join up with some friends and take it in turns to go for a quick run while one of you looks after the babies.)

 

As some of you may know I became a dad for the first time earlier this year and I gave my wife lots of ways to lose baby weight fast. She has recently been using these workouts for the past 2 months and has shifted 15lbs of her pregnancy weight that had mainly accumulated around her midriff. She also ate healthily which was key in the fat reduction (she does live with me!) She did not have a lot of weight to lose but of course she wanted to return to how she looked before and I must say she looks amazing!

These workouts use minimal equipment and are designed to be able to complete during the day when you have a spare 10 minutes. Obviously as you shift your pregnancy weight become fitter, stronger and start to build a well toned slimmer body you need to progress these workouts, so make them longer and increase the intensity.

You must also address your diet. As you have been through a huge change you need to eat sensibly and make sure to eat enough of the macro-nutrients Carbohydrates, Protein and Fats.

A simple way to know you are eating the correct amount is to use your fist as a portion guide. For every meal eat one fist sized portion of protein (meat, fish, eggs) two fist sized portions of carbohydrates (try to limit starchy carbs and swap them for vegetables and fruit) and a small portion of healthy fats (you should get enough fat from eating avocados, oily fish & nuts). It really is that simple!

To really boost your fat burning potential you could consider trying a sports supplement or fat burner. Make sure to fully research the products you choose and only buy them from official websites as there are many fakes and scams on eBay and amazon.
